I am a backyard flyer who breeds Birmingham Rollers for performance only, the colors are not important to me. I have several different bloodlines, but primarily Jacquenette. I breed for spinners only and prefer deep performers, but do have a few competition birds that are very frequent 15 footers with excellent velocity. True competition flyers do not want birds that spin deep in their kits. They are sometimes called too hot or Hot rollers because of the depth of their spin. I on the other hand like a Hot bird and have been able to pick up some very good quality rollers from other competition flyers to breed to my existing family of birds. Because of the nature of their spin we call them Hot Shot Rollers.
